Last night’s shoot with the little ladies…

July 31st, 2009 , Posted in Uncategorized

OK, I know those of you who follow my blog are rolling your eyes now…. yes, it’s my girls again.  I finally got my new Nikon D700 as my backup camera and wanted to take it for a spin.  So about 7 pm when the sun was starting to go down, I drove out into the farmlands with my friend Fara and tested out the new camera.  It’s awesome.   Love it.  Thanks Fara for doing the hair.  They looked so cute.  My little one was quite a challenge last night although you can’t totally tell from the pictures…. she is only four but thinks she is 16 or older.  When we came home she started crying to her dad that “Kyle” at camp had broken up with her and didn’t want to marry her anymore.  OMG!!!  Is this a glimpse into the future already????  Did I mention she was only 4, for another month at least.  Whew!  Anyway, here are some of the pics….

My girls….. at the beach, our favorite place

July 28th, 2009 , Posted in Uncategorized

Just a quick post before bed.  Although this is from a few weeks ago, I just had time to go through them all and wanted to post a couple.  So many good one’s but these were the one’s I grabbed really quick to share.  The beach is our favorite place to go and this was an afternoon with just me and the girls hanging out.  It was too hot here, so we drove to the beach and had a couple hours of more 60 degree weather…..felt like we were on another planet.  Had the Golden Gate Bridge looming large in the background hidden mostly under a very large cloud.  Love it!

Me and my hubby…. at the beach

July 26th, 2009 , Posted in Uncategorized

Yesterday my husband and I had an opportunity to just go hang out together in San Fran at the beach and go for a long hike, and just cop a squat on the sand and watch the surfers.  I took a few pictures of the surfers with a “real” camera and then took some of joe and I with my little point and shoot.  It was just so nice to not have the kids for the day, no photo shoot to do, just time alone and it was so needed.  It was 60 degrees in the city, which was a 40 degree drop from home so it felt like we really got away.  The smell of the ocean air, the licorice plants on the trails….. it was heaven for a few hours.  Thanks honey, for just hanging out.

Can you say “wiiiippppeout”?!?!?!

Donna: Bridal Session “Trash the Dress”

July 7th, 2009 , Posted in Uncategorized

Back in December, I had the pleasure of meeting Donna on the day of her wedding as I was asked to assist in photographing her wedding.  I had not met her until literally the hour before her wedding and when I saw her I thought she was absolutely beautiful.  Then a few weeks ago I met with Donna to deliver some pictures to her and I had to take a double take.  She was in her cute jeans, cool jewelry on, but the kicker was her hair!!!  I just loved it and immediately thought OUTLOUD to myself, “We have to take your wedding pictures again, during the daylight and with THAT hair!”  On her wedding day her hair was straightened and pulled back which looked amazing, but I just had this vision in my head with her gorgeous dress, no shoes and that hair and face of hers.  That combination was amazing….  Take a look for yourself.  :)  Thanks so much Donna for letting me photograph you again and for tromping through the the streets (yes, stopping traffic!), through the alleys, behind buildings, climbing down ladders and using miscellaneous benches we found by the garbage outside.  I have a lot more to post but these were the one’s that caught my eye immediately.  Enjoy!
