Sara + Andrew = Married!

November 9th, 2009 , Posted in Uncategorized

A few weeks ago I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Sara & Andrew.  They are a kick!  They were married at Capital Christian Center in Sacramento and it’s an amazing church.  I actually went to high school there nearly 20 years ago and it was a wonderful place for that time of life.  So this was a treat to get to photograph here for the first time.  We went downtown to capture some fun at the old Train Station next to the Federal buildings.  Loved the phone booths and the long benches…..  Thank you guys for allowing me and my team to capture this day for you.  ENJOY!  Lots more to come.

      Palm Lake Retreat

      October 2nd, 2009 , Posted in Uncategorized

Last weekend I had the honor of capturing a wedding for Rick and Diane that was also a promotional event for their property, Palm Lake Retreat,  that is an absolutely amazing place for a wedding.  It’s 20 acres with it’s own ski lake on it, dock, canoe, island, boat, go-cart track, volleyball sand court (which is where all the dancing took place), you name it, they have it!    Here are some pictures of the property and Anne who was our model for about 30 minutes in a gorgeous gown from Miosa Couture out of Sacramento.  Amazing store for all you upcoming brides!  Sharri Black from CMC Events did an amazing job of coordinating and decorating this property, complete transformation!  And what topped the whole thing off was the extraordinary creativity and work of Martha from Blooms by Martha Andrews.  Unbelievable is all I can say!!!  Some of the food caterers for this event were The Terrace in Town and Country Village which is owned and operated by my childhood friend, Mike and Margo Powers; Simple Pleasures in Lincoln, and Buonarroti Ristorante in Lincoln.  All incredible food arrangements.  Thank you so much, Rick and Diane, for choosing me and my team to capture this event and these moments for you.  Amazing evening!

          Olivia + Steve: Engaged

          September 27th, 2009 , Posted in Uncategorized

Last weekend I had the awesome opportunity to photograph Olivia and Steve’s engagement session in San Francisco, California.  We went all over the city, ending it at Crissy Field after making a quick stop at the Legion of Honor (we had about 2 minutes inside the gates before it closed…whew!).  It was an amazing time just hanging out together, getting to know one another better.  We stopped at the Presidio for a quick drink and change of clothes and just enjoyed each others company.  Liv and Steve, you two are amazing and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding next year in Morgan Creek.  Thank you for letting me capture these moments…..

This past weekend I had the pleasure of going to Santa Cruz County to Capitola specifically and doing a family  / engagement session with Melissa, Jay and Colton.  They are getting married next September in Kaui, Hawaii.  We had a great time running around the city looking for spots to photograph and then ending the night on the beach.  It was cloudy and overcast but gorgeous.  Thanks you guys for asking me to capture these moments!  You are gorgeous, Melissa, and Colton is just a doll.  Thanks Jay for being such a good sport about all my crazy ideas.  :)  Enjoy!

            Santa Cruz Surfing

            September 13th, 2009 , Posted in Uncategorized

This weekend we had an amazing time at my brother-in-law’s beach house.  It is RIGHT on the beach, we just walked down the stairs and were on the sand.  Thanks so much, Jim!  Joe decided to go out and surf, which he hasn’t done in years.  I had more fun just watching and taking pictures :)  I had to snap a few of the girls too, after Grace found a sand dollar and then just Liv sitting by herself on the massive beach…. it was just a moment where I felt so small on this earth.  The coolest part of the whole weekend was when we were getting ready to leave and I needed just a few minutes to sit alone on the beach and take it all in, and all of a sudden six dolphins right by the shore started putting on a show for me.  It was AMAZING!!!!  They were literally right by the sand, it was crazy.  It was a little spiritual moment for me and I’ll never forget it.  Here are some pics from the day…..

One of my favorites from the day, my hubby out there taking it in and birds flying by randomly…..
