Goins Family

December 30th, 2007 , Posted in Uncategorized

OK, after taking pictures of the Takahara Family, I followed them to Alicia’s mom’s house and took pictures of the extended family. The boys were hysterical. Everyone did good, considering all we had was a field of grass across the street to work with. It was tough because there was mud everywhere, grass was wet, and the reflections were crazy! We made it work though! :) Grandma was the focus and I think those were the shots that were fun! Thanks for letting me be part of it!

Takahara Family

This was fun in Old Town Elk Grove……Christmas Eve, too.  There wasn’t much there in the short two blocks, but we found a few places.  One of them was a pottery store that had some displays outside, so we used what we could after asking permission.

Josh thought I was going to hurt him with the camera…..funny, he flinched every time the camera clicked, like I was literally shooting him. He finally got used to the noise and loosened up!

Thank you to the Burke family for allowing me to photograph them and their daughter.  It was awesome!  She sure is a character and made it very hard to pick which pictures to use for your holiday card.  Can’t wait to do it again!  You are all so photogenic….a model family  :)

Hugs!

Brandy went to heaven today…..

December 2nd, 2007 , Posted in Uncategorized

I’ll make this short, because I’m a wreck today.  My cat, Brandy, whom I’ve had since I was 19 years old, passed away this morning.  I held her as she passed and she looked at me.  It was absolutely the worst thing I’ve ever had to deal with.  She was with me through so many things in my life….I’ll miss her always.  I know she is in a better place, but I just can’t forget the look, or lack thereof, in her eyes as she passed.  I love you Brandel.
